Brainspotting
A Pathway to Deeper Healing

Brainspotting

A powerful mind-body approach to healing trauma. In practice, it utilizes eye positioning to access and process unresolved emotional and somatic memory. This neurobiologically informed therapy helps release the impact of trauma and supports long-term recovery.
Brainspotting works on the principle that where you look affects how you feel. During a session, a specific "brainspot"—linked to a traumatic or emotionally charged experience—is identified. As the client maintains focus on that eye position, the brain is able to access deeper areas of stored trauma that traditional talk therapy might not reach. This allows for profound processing and resolution at both the emotional and physical levels.

What Brainspotting Can Help With

  • PTSD and complex trauma: Releasing deeply held patterns of fear and distress
  • Anxiety and depression: Targeting the root causes rather than just symptoms
  • Performance blocks: Helping artists, athletes, and professionals overcome internal barriers
  • Somatic symptoms: Addressing trauma held in the body, such as chronic pain or tension
  • Emotional regulation: Enhancing the brain’s capacity to process and integrate difficult emotions

A Gentle Yet Deeply Transformative Process

Brainspotting is often described as both subtle and powerful. Clients remain in control, with the therapist serving as a compassionate guide. It is especially helpful for those who feel “stuck” in traditional talk therapy or who find it difficult to verbalize their experiences.

This method honors the body’s wisdom and the brain’s natural ability to heal, offering a safe and effective pathway toward lasting transformation.
