Trauma
A Safe Space to Process and Heal

Trauma

I work compassionately with clients healing from trauma whether acute or long-standing. Clinically, treatment targets the psychological and physiological effects of trauma, restoring self-regulation, safety, and resilience to improve daily functioning and quality of life.
Trauma can result from a wide range of experiences—such as abuse, accidents, medical procedures, violence, neglect, or sudden loss. Its impact is not just emotional but also physical and neurological, often leaving individuals feeling disconnected from their bodies or overwhelmed by anxiety, fear, or numbness.

Common Trauma Responses:

  • Hypervigilance and constant alertness
  • Flashbacks or intrusive memories
  • Emotional numbing or dissociation
  • Irritability, anger, or depression
  • Physical symptoms like sleep disruption, headaches, or digestive issues

The Path to Healing

My therapeutic approach centers on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can begin to reconnect with their sense of agency and trust in themselves. Depending on your unique needs, treatment may include somatic-based therapies, Brainspotting, mindfulness practices, or trauma-informed talk therapy.

The goal is not just to cope—but to truly heal. This means helping you process painful memories at a pace that feels manageable, build emotional regulation skills, and reestablish a deep sense of safety in both mind and body.

You are not broken. Your responses are human reactions to overwhelming experiences—and recovery is absolutely possible.
